Strawberry Shortcake

Strawberry Mixture:

2 pounds of strawberries (rinsed and sliced)
1/2 cup Sugar
5 Tablespoons lemon juice

Whipping Cream:

2 1/2 cups heavy cream
5 tablespoons sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla

Strawberry Shortcake


Wash and dry strawberries and de-stem. Cut lengthwise and then horizontally. Add sugar and lemon juice. Let sit for two hours. Whip the heavy cream until semi-stiff and then add sugar and vanilla. Whip again until stiff and fluffy.

Pour strawberries over the pound cake or short bread and top with whipped cream.
