Toasted Almond Milk

An easy process for homemade almond milk. Sweeten with your favorite sweetener, or even add dates and a banana.

1 cup almonds
3 cups water
Pinch of salt
Vanilla (optional)

Toasted Almond Milk


Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Toast almonds 5 to 10 minutes until slightly brown. Let cool. Soak almonds overnight in 3 cups of water. Drain and rinse well.

Place almonds in a blender with 3 cups of water and a pinch of salt. Blend on high for one minute. Strain thoroughly through a cheesecloth or a jelly bag. You may wish to drain again through a coffee filter.

Sweetening Option:
Add as much or as little to taste.

Agave nectar. Splenda. Brown sugar.
