Tomato Basil Pasta

This Pasta, made with basil butter sauce and diced tomatos, is easy to make and great tasting.

Basil Butter
1 1/2 pounds of butter
1/2 cup minced garlic
1 pound of vegetable or chicken base
1 pound chopped basil
2 Tbs white pepper
1/2 cup water

Pasta Sauce
Basil butter
Water or citrus beurre blanc

Tomato Basil Pasta


For Basil Butter:

In a large sauté pan, melt butter and add garlic, chicken base, pepper and water. Stir well until completely combined. Turn off heat and add the basil. Mix well and refrigerate stirring every half hour until it cools and firms enough to roll it into tubes.

Yields: (12) 5.5 ounce tubes.

For Pasta Sauce:

Boil water in a large saute pan and add basil butter, enough for your taste buds. Pour over cooked pasta and add fresh diced tomatoes. Sprinkle parmesan on top to taste.
