Bavarian Cream

Light and delicious Bavarian Cream can be enjoyed alone, topped on fruit, or as a filling in pastries.

2 1/2 cups of half & half
1/2 Tb. vanilla bean
6 egg yolks
1/2 cup of sugar
1/4 cup flour
4 Tb. corn starch
1 1/2 Tb Grand Marnier

Bavarian Cream


In a pan, boil the sugar, egg yolks and vanilla. Sift the flour and corn starch and add to the egg mixture. Whip the mixture until smooth and set aside. Boil the half & half then add to the egg mixture. Cook until boiling and then add the Grand Marnier. Place in a stainless steel cake pan and let cool for four hours.
