12 ounces bitter sweet chocolate
3 ounces of butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
6 eggs, separated
1/4 tsp cream of tartar
3/4 cups ground almonds
2 ounces sugar and 3 ounces of sugar
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Prepare 6 ounces ramekins with butter and sugar.
Melt chocolate and butter and add vanilla and almonds. Whisk egg yolks with 3 ounces of sugar until pale and thick. Combine chocolate and egg mixture together. Whisk egg whites and cream of tartar together until soft peaks form. Add 2 ounces of sugar until shiny,
Bake in prepared ramekins at 350 degrees for 12-14 minutes. Remove from ramekin immediately by inverting it - then place the cake right-side up and let cool.
